Training of Community Animal Health Worker (CAHWs) on Disease management in Iskushuban District of Puntland

In 2016, in connection with the emergency activities, FAO-Somalia and PULPA has agreed to carry out training on community animal health workers in nine villages under iskushuban district of Puntland.

The objective of this particular training was to strength the capacity of the extension services through the training of community animal health workers (CAHWs) in animal husbandry practice, basic veterinary medicine, and rational use of veterinary drugs, basic surgical procedures, basic business skill and book keeping.

Eighteen community animal health workers were trained.
